MEASUREMENT/Sizing guidelines

SIZING

We carry many different brands with origins of different countries. As a result, sizing can differ from piece to piece. For example, French brands such as IRO or Isabel Marant will use French sizing, Italian brands such as Prada or Dolce & Gabbana will use Italian sizing, and so on.

In an effort to make site navigation and product filtering on out site efficient, we use the universal XS, S, M, L, XL for all garments. Unless a garment specifically uses this method of sizing, all garments are assigned a size we feel accurately represents the fit. The actual marked size will always be disclosed in the product details tab of each piece, but not on collection pages or product filters. We are not responsible for ill fitting garments, as the assigned size is simply a guideline for site navigation. We provide measurements for your convenience.

Since we also carry shoe brands of international origin, we have a basic guide of sizing that we implement on collection pages and product filters. We mark US sizes as being 1/2 size smaller than their EU counterparts. For example, a size 39 EU would be marked as a size 8.5 US. The 1/2 size difference is a basic guide determined by the average discrepancy between US and EU sizes that we have observed. Please note this is simply a guide and some brands may run smaller or larger. The customer is fully responsible for the size they choose and return requests filed under "not as described" will not be granted for sizing reasons.

Thankfully, bag sizes are more straightforward. We provide measurements of all bags. If a bag has a size listed, such as medium or small, that is the size assigned by the original designer that corresponds to the measurements. This is not a determination we have made, rather, it is part of the original style name. We often include a photo of bags modeled on a mannequin. We do this to try and give a better idea of how the bag looks in real life on someone. Sometimes bag sizes can appear smaller or larger in photos. Please refer to the measurements given for the most accurate representation of the size.

MEASUREMENTS

Included in the item description of most items is measurements. Measurements can be a helpful guide to assist in determining the fit of a garment, bag, accessory, or shoe. This guide was created to show how we measure to ensure you have the best understanding of size prior to purchase.

It is important to note that all measurements are approximate and are NOT a foolproof method of size determination. Measurements off by 1/2 an inch or less will not be accepted under the "not as described" return category.

We take all measurements in centimeters and use a calculator to convert to inches for your convenience.

I. HOW CAN I USE MEASUREMENTS TO DETERMINE FIT?

We recommend comparing the measurement of a specific area to that same area on an item you own that is of similar style and fabric content. It is important to note some materials may change the measurements due to stretch in the fabric.

II. BAG MEASUREMENTS

In order to get the most accurate measurements, we will usually use measurements offered by the original designer if we know the name of the bag style. Otherwise, all measurements are taken by hand. We measure seam to seam on all bags.

Length refers to the measurement between the bottom side seams.
Height refers to the measurement between the bottom front seam and the top of the bag body.
Depth refers to the measurement between the bottom front and back seams.
Maximum strap drop refers to the measurement between the top of the maximum strap adjustment to the top of the bag body.
Minimum strap drop refers to the measurement between the top of the minimum strap adjustment to the top of the bag body.

III. SHOE MEASUREMENTS

In order to get the most accurate measurements, we will usually use measurements offered by the original designer if we know the name of the shoe style. Otherwise, all measurements are taken by hand.

Heel height refers to the measurement between the seam where the heel connects to the shoe and the bottom of the heel tap.
Platform height refers to the seam beneath the shoe to the sole.
Insole refers to the measurement of the length of the inside sole.
Outsole refers to the measurement of the length of the outer sole.
Toe box refers to the measurement across the widest part of the toe box.

All measurements are taken in centimeters and converted to inches for your convenience.

IV. GARMENT MEASURMENTS

All garments are measured by hand.

- Underarm to underarm refers to the distance between the seams on either side of the underarm section. Please note we do not take darts or cups into account when we measure.
- Waist refers to the distance across the smallest part of the waist or the waist seam (if there is one).
- Hip refers to the distance across the hip area. Please note that since there typically isn't a clear hip seam, the hip measurement area is decided at our discretion. All pants/jeans/shorts are measured across the bottom of the zipper seam.  Please account for a margin of error for this measurement.
- Length from underarm seam to bottom hem refers to the length from the seam that begins directly under the underarm and follows to the bottom seam. We measure this way because we feel this the most universal way to measure garment length since collar/neckline seams can lay differently from person to person. Garments without this seam will still be measured this way.

V. ACCESSORY MEASUREMENTS

In order to get the most accurate measurements, we will usually use measurements offered by the original designer if we know the name of the style. Otherwise, all measurements are taken by hand.
